The Last Big One

Ini ikan jalak si dirin yang dia dapat bila casting di Lumat, Berat = 2.050kg buli tahan juga jalak ni, nda sangka begitu lapar sampai 3 kali merembat froggy si dirin ni. Tingu saja muka dia tu macam budak budak kena bagi "ice cream".... senyuman lelaki dusun terakhir ....ha ha ha.

Ini tempat memang bagus untuk aktiviti "casting", ada sungai yang mengalir dan tidak terlalu tercemar. Selain daripada ikan jalak, ikan baung (paling besar pernah dinaikkan 3kg) menurut penduduk kampung yang biasanya menjalankan aktiviti memancing baung selepas hujan lebat bilamana sungai menjadi keruh, masa paling sesuai untuk memancing ikan baung adalah pada waktu malam.


Well finally i cought the big one, a monster 2.10Kg location anak sungai luagan just besides our site... it was 7.30am in the morning and this one come and strike the froggy only at my 2nd cast. well it's not a bad catch to end the season. This was my last large Jalak.

Hope that the next outing will see more of the elusive monster lured out of thier hiding ground.

Now our planning will be "deep sea fishing", gears are ready, 12 ugly boys are ready too, hopefully our planned outing will not be affected by the recent frequent thypoon season. will update the status of the fishing outing next time............. happy fishing

Have u guys been to Beaufort Recently?

Beaufort meaning "The Beautiful Fort" in old French, it is a town and a district located in Interior Division of Sabah in east Malaysia on the island of Borneo. Its population was estimated to be around 61,698 in 2000. It is a quiet provincial town about 90 kilometres south of Kota Kinabalu, with shophouses built high above the roads to avoid the periodic floods of the Padas River (Sungai Padas). Originally set up to help economic development of the interior of Sabah, its early prosperity was closely linked to rubber cultivation. During World War II, it was the site of one of the most important skirmishes of the war between the Japanese and Australians. Its current prosperity depends on the booming palm oil industry.

Beaufort is a stop on the North Borneo Railway operated by Sutera Harbour Resort. The railway station in Beaufort dates from 1905. The normal daily service is operated by the Sabah State Railway Department (Jabatan Keretapi Negeri Sabah).

Medical services are provided by the 140 bedded government hospital which has primary care and basic secondary care services. There are three private practitioners within the town area.

Beaufort is usually visited by tourists for white-water rafting through the nearby Padas Gorge on the Padas River which is rated as a Grade 2 to 3 river.

The open-air market, locally known as tamu is held weekly on every Friday evening until Saturday afternoon. Local produce such as fresh fruits, vegetable, fresh meat and live poultry are sold. The days of this weekly community occasion differ from district to district. Beaufort is also known in Sabah for its chinese dish called Beaufort Mee, a noodle dish served either dry or with soup.

Yg di atas tu sejarah yg terperinci pasal beaufort, but, now this is from what i'm experiencing now, beaufort is far more better in terms of traffic jam, air quality index, food so to say to compare beaufort with KK.... huh. i've been staying here in beaufort most of the weekdays for the past 4 years, what i like most here is the people.... they are good people here, trust me if u (stranger) and u have been around beaufort for a short time u will notice that people around you will in no time starts throwing smiles at u, i felt welcome and i love this feeling.

These are the places u can visit in the evening, u can get cheap bear for RM13/- for 4 cans.... cheap huh? ba dont drink too much ur bladar will mengembang susah tu... good food also u can get here.

Aiya mlm punya tpt jalan ja sia tau sebab siang sia kerja di site (SMTeknik Beaufort) jarang kluar.... yg sia tau byk juga tpt makan yang bagus bagus samada halal punya atau tidak.

Ahh ... korang datang sendiri ja lah pi bofot ni.

Resepi Jalak si Untung

1 ekor ikan jalak "Haruan" 1.0 kg sebaik baiknya yang masih hidup (baru dapat pancinglah kiranya). Di potong kecil.

3 biji bawang merah hiris halus
5 ulas bawang putih hiris halus
4 batang serai di tumbuk pecah
sedikit halia
Chili kering 8 biji (di bersihkan bijinya)
Minyak makan 3 sudu besar
aji no moto dan garam (secukup rasa)

Panaskan minyak, tumiskan bawang merah, bawang putih, halia, lada kering kacau biarkan panas sehingga berbau harum. Masukkan ikan haruan goreng sehingga isi ikan haruan lebih kurang keras (3 minit) masukkan air 2 mangkuk kecil (bersesuaian dengan kuantiti ikan yang hendak di masak) panaskan selama 10 minit, masukkan garam dan aji no moto secukup rasa.

Tips :- lagi banyak lada kering kuranglah rasa hanyir ikan haruan.

Dirin Latest

Dirin dengan bangga menunjukkan hasil tangkapan terbesarnya jalak 1.8Kg. Memang piau ini budak baru 3 bulan bercasting sudah menaikkan lebih 50 ekor jalak. Dulu kalau bawa pi pancing macam macam alasan dia ni tapi sekarang macam kecanduan jap jap mau pi kasting pagi sekali, tengahari sekali petang sekali. Hujung minggu kalu ndada keja full day sampai badan lenguh lenguh. Pernah juga sekali hari tu 7 ekor jalak dirin tewaskan dalam masa 45minit. Padang pancing baru memang kau kau.... informasi dari operator excavator yang menjalankan kerja kerja pembersihan sungai.

Welcome New Casting Member

Razak proudly with his best catch a 1.5Kg "jalak". A persistant castor rewards. Just by using the technique "lure them out of thier hide out" reward him with this beast. Just 2 weeks ago his favorite rod snapped and his braid line broken as again a huge "jalak" strike his yellow froggy. What a catch it was if he managed to land that jalak that day. Macam siuntung cakap "Akan Datang" kena juga dia tu.






Othman proudly with his 1.4Kg jalak. Ah curi tullang pi pancing jam 11 pagi dapat pula 5 ekor semua atas 1kg..nada pa ko geng. Gitulah biar kita biasa memancing di laut ka di kolam ka di sungai ka Casting masih ada keistimewaan nya yang tersendiri. For info c othman ni memang kaki pancing klu di laut, muara sungai dia lah juara. Kalu siapa siapa mau pancing di bintuka mau sewa bot cari ja othman. Bisa di atur. umpan udang hidup boleh disediakan "bukan free ah". Tapi harganya reasonable ba.

This is a story of a young casting enthusias, first he approached me and asked a question.
Nommy : Wah siok o korang pi casting tiap petang.
Me : ya ba... ko bila gi mo join?
Nommy : Mau juga ba ni tapi sia nada pancing.
Me : Ba bilija ba.
Nommy : Nanti lah di KK
Me : Ba kalu ko mo ko ambil lah ni pancing sia. Kawan kawan RM150 batang X-puyu, reel abu garcia and tali sulam... amacam stuju?
Nommy : butul ba?
Me : stu kali ja sia opper mau nda?
Nommy : ba sia ambillah.
Me : ok katak ko cari sendiri k.

After that transaction there are no looking back for this lad. He has since outrun us in the biggest catch and is currently the holder for the heaviest catch. Here is nommy's first big "Jalak" catch 2.050Kg.... susah sudah mau dapat ni size though in beaufort a 12Kg jalak has been cought just 2 years back (jalan labui river)...Will update more for nommy next time... keep up with the good spirit. Double Up

Ini saya. Ini ikan yang saya dapat. Satu kecil satu gi besar. Ikan haruan ini telah ku tewaskan dengan mengunakan "spoon". Spoon tersebut telah ku modified aku telah bubuh 2 biji manik warna merah yang ku rancang sebagai mata konon. Nda sangka pula sangkut pula 2 ekor jalak hari ini.

Lokasi : Paya highway beaufort - sepitang (KM 2)

Masa : 6.00pm

Cuaca : Cerah (tiada hujan sejak 2 hari lalu)

Keadaan air yang jernih dan tenang dengan kedalaman air anggaran 1 kaki dalam dengan rimbunan kayu dan rumpai ternyata bertepatan dengan pancingan kaedah "casting". Keseronokan apabila haruan datang menerpa dari rimbunan semak tekajut juga nampak kadang tu ikan haruan menyambar sampai spoon ku terbang melayang sudah lama nda jumpa tempat casting macam ni... pehhhhh.

Kaki-kaki casting kalau nak cuba boleh lah cepat sebab ada contractor sedang menimbus kolam berkenaan untuk projek ntah pah. Rating tempat ni boleh tahan lah.
